Things to consider

This was in response to a post I found on facebook, and I did search all the claims made here and found that they all appear to be accurate. I would have linked to all of the findings, but short on time today. feel free to check them out yourself.
For those who are listening to the liberals propagating the fallacy that everything is “Bush’s Fault,” think about this:
January 3rd, 2007 was the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress. At the time:
The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77.
The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5%.
The Unemployment rate was 4.6%.
George Bush’s Economic policies were responsible for 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of JOB GROWTH.
Remember the day…
January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee.
The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy?
BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES!
It started with Jimmy Carter and his Housing and Community Investment Act of 1977, broadened by Bill Clinton, enforced by Janet Reno, then sent over the cliff by Frank & Dodd. Oh, Obama, as an attorney in Chicago working on behalf of ACORN, successfully sued Citibank for loan discrimination under Reno’s tenure!
Unemployment… to this CRISIS by (among MANY other things) dumping 5-6 TRILLION Dollars of toxic loans on the economy from YOUR Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac FIASCOES!
Bush asked Congress 17 times to stop Fannie & Freddie – starting in 2001 because it was financially risky for the US economy.
And who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac? OBAMA
And who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie?
OBAMA and the Democrat Congress.
So when someone tries to blame Bush..
REMEMBER: JANUARY 3rd, 2007…. THE DAY THE DEMOCRATS TOOK OVER!”
Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress and the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democrat Party.
Furthermore, the Democrats controlled the budget process for 2008 & 2009 as well as 2010 & 2011.
In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases.
For 2009 though, Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the 2009 budgets.
And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete 2009.
If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets.
If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself.
In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is I inherited a deficit that I voted for and then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since January 20th.

Jackie walorski vs joe donnelly

Jackie Walorski
Joe Donnelly

Primaries are now over, and Jackie Walorski now has to concentrate on defeating Joe Donnelly in November.  This could be an easy task this year, as long as the citizens remember the Health care vote, and How we were let down by the man who was elected to represent us. Still, Donnelly is a popular representative, and I am sure it won’t just be a walk in the park. I will try and outline the race as much as possible in the near future, so everyone can examine both candidates and make an informed decision.

It bothers me that there are still so many out there that just vote for the the party, or don’t take the time to look at all the options and make an informed decision. Let’s be sure this year, that we elect a candidate that properly represents the majority of their constituents. Be informed.

American capitalism gone with a whimper or without?

I Received this in an E-mail,  Found it again on snopes, as a verified true story(see here), which refered back to the Russian news organization Pravda which apparently got it from a blogger named  Stanislav Mishin. (tried to find it on that blog, but there is a lot there, and I was tired of tracking it down.)

it appears this article has made it’s rounds. I traced it down that far, and got tired of the hunt. the Pravda link above is enough.

Regardless, this type of article would never appear in an American newspaper of today, but it should not be ignored. In fact everyone should read it.

Here is an excerpt from the Pravda article:

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.

True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.

Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their “right” to choke down a McDonald’s burger or a Burger King burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our “democracy”. Pride blind the foolish.

Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different “branches and denominations” were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the “winning” side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the “winning” side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.

I would encourage you to read the whole thing.

Jack jordan’s campaign please send this to your marshall county friends

I recently received an e-mail from Linda (Mullen) Clevenger entitled “Let’s all rally around Jack”.  It was a nice description of the Jack that we all know and love.  As you may know  I have been working along with many others to educate  the voters of the 2nd District about Jack.  In four short months Jack has been working tirelessly to win over a very large district that until a few months ago had never heard his name. His hard work is bearing fruit.

Today the Elkhart Truth endorsed Jack over their hometown candidate. Jack is running strong in  Kokomo, La Porte, Fulton, Starke, White and Pulaski Counties, and I think he owns Cass County.  The people of Bremen and Marshall County can be proud of Jack, he has positioned himself to pull off the political upset of the year in Indiana. In order for this to happen Jack needs a huge turnout in Marshall County! In 2006 (the last non Presidential Congressional primary) of the 32,000 registered voters in Marshall County only 4900 voted. WE CAN DO BETTER!!!

Unlike a sporting event where fan turnout has little to do with the outcome of the game in elections TURNOUT IS THE GAME!!! Grab a friend or two drag them to the polls on Tuesday.  Make it an expectation, and we can make a difference.  Let’s put a” Made in Marshall County” stamp on the  112th U.S.Congress.

Please send this to your Marshall County contact list as soon as possible!
Thank You for your interest!  Todd Stuckman

the elkhart truth endorses jack jordan

Jack Jordan

Full article in The Elkhart Truth.

Jack Jordan, teaches in the school of business and economics at Indiana University South Bend. He has a background in business, health care and international economics. He’s also a member of the Bremen school board.

Jordan will work to build effective coalitions. In that sense, he’s reminiscent of U.S. Rep. Mark Souder, R-3rd.

While he and Walorski hold similar views on the economy and health care, Jordan is intelligent and thoughtful. A flame burns inside him. He understands the urgency of the moment, but unlike Walorski, he doesn’t allow his emotions to overtake him.

That makes Jordan a potential power broker in Washington — a power broker on behalf of the people who live and work in the 2nd District.

So, for that reason, we endorse Jack Jordan in Tuesday’s Republican primary.
