This recipe is one of my son’s favorite and it is so quick and easy to whip up in no time at all.

1 bag of southern style hash browns

1 stick of butter (melted)

1 80z bag of cheddar cheese

1/4 cup bacon bits

tsp of seasoned salt, pepper, crushed red pepper flakes and garlic powder

In baking pan add the melted butter and all spices, spread the potatoes in and stir to coat the potatoes in butter and spices.  Add the bacon bits and cover with cheese.  Then bake at 350 for 20 minutes.  Let the flavor explode in your mouth.

Leftover lasagna

So last night you had chili and have lots of leftovers?  You want to use it up but want to spice it up abit? Then have no fear here’s a recipe to remedy the situation.

12 uncooked lasagna noodles

1  1/2 lbs of shredded colby jack cheese ( or if you want more of a kick use pepper jack cheese)

leftover chili

can of french fried onions

Boil the lasagna boil for 5 minutes.  Then in a greased baking pan lay 4  of the noddles and add a heaping amount of chili.  Add 1/3 of the cheese.  Repeat this til all noodles and cheese have been used.   Bake at 350 just until cheese is completely melted.  After removed from oven add the french fried onions to the top.

Waffling ice cream sandwiches

This is a recipe that was handed down to me from my mom.  It is a very simple yet tasty dessert. Great one that lets kids join in on making them.  There is really only a few things you will need to make these.

1 cake mix (any flavor)

1/ 2 gallon of any flavor of ice cream

Prepare the cake mix according to the box.  Next heat up a greased waffle iron (if you do not have a waffle iron do not fret 🙂  you can do this like pancakes then)

use as much batter as you would for a normal waffle.  Let them cool completely!!!  Once cooled take 2 squares of the waffle and place a good size scoop of ice cream in the middle.  Wrap up and place in freezer.

Just that simple but are so delicious!!!
