How many jalapeno slices can you handle? With this recipe being so close to the original feel free to spice it up more if you dare!
1 lb ground beef
4 large plain white hamburger buns
3 tbsp melted butter
1 1/2 tsp yellow mustard
1 jar of jalapeno slices (nacho slices) approx 6-10 slices per burger more if you dare
1 1/2 c lettuce
Shape the ground beef into 4 patties about the size of the bun. Preheat your skillet or griddle over medium heat. Spread melted butter over top and bottom of the buns and lightly brown them in your preheated skillet. Cook the beef patty in the hot pan and lightly season with salt and pepper. Cook them for approx 3-4 minutes per side or until done. As the patties cook, build the burger by first spreading mustard over the face of the bottom bun. Arrange jalapeno slices on the mustard. Arrange the lettuce over the jalapeno slices. When the patties are done, stack it on the lettuce and top off with top bun. Warm in microwave for 10-15 secs.
You can also add cheese to this recipe and I suggest pepper jack if you do.
