Income Survey may qualify Bremen for Grants

Marshall County has the opportunity to apply for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA) for the purpose of creating a Strategic Economic Development Plan. Additionally, the Town of Bremen and the Town of Argos will apply for Community Focus Fund infrastructure grants in support of waste water and storm water system improvements. As a requirement of the application process, the community must provide combined family income information for the households that will benefit from the use of grant funds.

Ball State University
will assist Marshall County in conducting the survey and assembling data. Representatives from Ball State University will begin contacting residents of Marshall County by telephone on June 1st, 2010. Any individuals contacting you will identify themselves as Ball State University representatives and will never ask for any personally identifiable information such as your social security number or bank account information. The survey should only take a few minutes of your time. All information provided will be kept strictly confidential and only a collective summary of the data will be provided to Marshall County to include in the grant application. Your participation in the survey is critical to the success of the project!
