Leukemia & lymphoma fundraiser – golf outing in honor of sam stiles

On August 21st, Joe Stiles and I will be hosting a Hit the Links for Leukemia golf event at Sprig O’ Mint Golf Course in Bremen, IN.  All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society (LLS).  LLS’s mission is to “cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families”. By participating in the event or making a donation, you are supporting research and local services to those affected with these diseases.

This event is in honor of my friend Joe’s son, Sam Stiles.  Sam was diagnosed with leukemia last year.  Treatments exist for Sam’s leukemia and he is progressing well through the treatment schedule.  Sam’s long-term outlook is promising due to the advances made in this area of medicine.  We not only want to help Sam but also the many others diagnosed with these diseases. Developments in such medical treatments were made possible by funding from organizations such as LLS.

Our goal is to raise at least $7,000 this year, which represents $2 for every child (3,500 children) that is expected to be diagnosed with leukemia this year.  Please help us reach this goal by participating or donating to the event. Another option to show your support is to make a donation directly to LLS.  If you wish, you may mail your payment amount today.  Donation instructions are attached to this email.

The cost to of the event is $50.00 per person ($200 per foursome).  Please make checks payable to “Sprig O’ Mint Golf Course”. The deadline for donations to participate is August 7th. Late registration the day of the event will be possible, but golfing, lunch, and other activities may not be available to late registers depending on participation.  Following the event, a brief recap of the Hit the Links for Leukemia event will be sent to event sponsors.

Thank you in advance for your support. If you have any questions or comments about Hit the Links for Leukemia golf outing visit our website at www.linksforleukemia.com or contact Jeff Rowe at 317-669-7084.
