(Mishawaka, IN) – 2nd Congressional District Candidate Jackie Walorski today called on Congressional Democrats to table the President’s proposal and start over in an effort to reform health care.
“With a projected cost of $950 billion and polls showing 3 in 4 Americans wanting Congress to leave the current health care system alone or start over, Congressional Democrats including Congressman Donnelly need to listen to the overwhelming voice of the people,” said Walorski. “Doctors and patients from all over the district want to be heard on this issue. They don’t want to watch politicians in Washington talking to each other. After watching today’s theatrics, it’s clear Washington simply isn’t listening.”
Over the past several months Walorski has been speaking with doctors all over the 2nd District and listening to their concerns regarding the proposed health care bill. On Friday, February 26th, she will host a health care forum in Mishawaka with local doctors and medical professionals to discuss the President’s proposal and receive input regarding how the provisions will effect area hospitals and clinics.
