I have seen many reports in the news over the past few days about gay marches, demonstrations, etc, because they believe that preventing them from being Legally married is discrimination, or hate driven. The vast majority of demonstrations seem to be targeting churches, including one up in Michigan, where the sermon was interrupted.
Here is my problem with their stance. People are not born gay, no matter what type of evidence science makes up to convince us otherwise. Being gay is a choice. nothing more. And people who have gay feelings towards others, should not expect the rest of us to accept them because they choose to be gay.
I am not saying that a man cannot love another man, or a woman cannot love another woman. but when that love becomes more than brotherly/sisterly, then it is just simply gone too far. As it is impossible for two people of the same sex to conceive, not only are they going against the laws of people, who have written the laws, and against the doctrine of pretty much every recognized religion, they are going against the very laws of nature itself.
This is why I feel that we cannot allow them to force the acceptance of such behavior. it is quite simply not a discrimination issue, because it’s a matter of choice. and since we cannot change the laws of nature, we should not change the laws of the land we live in.
Please feel free to comment. they are always welcome.
Giles.
